GT Choir Auditions
2024-2025 School Year
(Chamber Choir and Treble Choir)
All students are welcome in the Choir Program! You do not need to audition to join our family. However, if you would like to be considered for Chamber Choir or Treble Choir, then an audition is necessary. Follow the 4 steps below:
Step 1 Complete this Choir Audition - Student Information Google Form. This information form collects helpful information that will allow me to get in touch with you and a parent/guardian about callbacks and other important information.
Step 2 Record a video or audio of you singing 30 seconds of any song and then upload it to this Google Folder. When selecting your song, pick a song that shows off your voice and your range. It can be anything at all: popular music, church music, broadway show tunes, music from school choir, etc. Just please make sure it's school appropriate. This video is due Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Please use 'Last Name, First Name - Voice Part, Rising Grade Level' as your label in Google Drive, e.g. "Dogas, Nicholas - Bass, Rising 12th grader".
Step 3 Print and learn "O Taste and See" by Ralph Vaughan Williams to sing at live callbacks. There are practice recordings HERE to help you. Callbacks are the final step of the audition process; they allow Mr. Dogas to assess how you blend and balance with other singers.
Step 4 If you pass the initial video round, you will be invited to Callbacks via email to sing your part in "O Taste and See" with other students auditioning. Callbacks will be held in the Choir Room at Mt. Hebron HS on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Please be sure you are available on this date before committing to the audition process.

In order to make sure you are registered for choir for next school year, please sign up for MU-510-1: Concert Choir. Whether you make it into Chamber Choir or not, registering for this course will ensure you are all set to sing at Hebron next school year.
