Winter Percussion

in growing the skill of percussion performance

Welcome to the Winter Percussion! We are excited to offer an indoor percussion experience for students. The Winter Percussion program is a voluntary, extra-curricular ensemble and is open to any students enrolled in a HCPSS high school.

WHAT IS WINTER (INDOOR) PERCUSSION?
Indoor (Winter) Percussion brings the thrill of marching percussion indoors. This program will run from January through march and will be a mix of both marching and concert percussion techniques.

PROGRAM GOALS

Provide an authentic experience in percussion performance
Establish foundational through advanced skills in percussion (marching/concert) technique and to assist in the continued growth of percussion throughout HCPSS
Prepare an authentic and engaging performance exprience
Provide an outlet for performing and sharing our experience

VISION & MISSION
To provide an open, supportive, and educational performance environment that teaches and showcases the art of percussion in an equitable and innovative fashion. The group fosters collaboration, community building, and creativity.

Appropriate clothing for a physical, movement based activity
An open mind and willingness to learn
Desire to collaborate and share your experiences
All that is required to be considered for the Indoor Percussion program is your commitment and enthusiasm. Auditions will place students on equipment that supports their proficiency and provides for the artistic development of the show.
